You are giving yourself permission to hold onto the physical, mental and emotional connection to the past. You are giving the past a place to live.

What does that mean? Do me a favor. Think of a lemon. The fruit not a car you bought and found out bad things. We are attempting to keep this positive but as I write this I realize that some of you have now gone to that DAMN 85 Ford Ranger that had black paint over the engine light. (Yes, that happened) Tap.

So back to the Lemon. The fruit. Maybe this will help.

Your subconscious does not know the difference between what is real and what has happened in the past. When we continuously talk about or think about our past and put that MY into the conversation your subconscious is SCREAMING,

When I was younger and we actually had cassette tapes, there was an ad in the magazines. “Is it real, or is it memorex?” A guy was sitting on the couch listening to music and it was so crisp, clear and powerful that the speakers were blowing him away. LOVE IT! Your subconscious is like Memorex cassette tapes. It remembers EVERYTHING with such crispness and clarity that your entire body reacts accordingly. Hormones change, heartbeat, digestion, muscles…….

How to we change the My to The? The car accident. The injury. The disease. Start tapping. Tap about The car accident. Release your emotional attachment to every part of the incident.

What does every part mean? Where you were, the colors, the sounds, the tastes. What was happening before, 5, 10 minutes, even hours before. What was happening after, if you remember.

Why all of this? Because all of this is now a part of the car accident, trauma, disease. As we tap we allow ourself the release the emotional attachment to the past and open ourself up to the possibility of happiness, love and gratitude in this present moment. Even when we drive past that place of the accident, see a car of the same color, size, sound or even….

EVERY SINGLE TIME WE GET IN A CAR, FEEL THE SEAT, THE SEATBELT, STEERING WHEEL, HEAR THE ENGINE START AND THE RADIO……….

Did you feel yourself clench? Yes? This means you are still holding on. Change the MY to THE, tap and “Let it go”.
